Reception and lobby
The highest value wall in the building, because everyone sees it and it sets the tone before anyone speaks.
Offices and headquarters
Lobbies, open floors, stairwells, meeting rooms and building exteriors, painted around a working office so nobody loses a desk.
Why companies paint
An office mural does three things a printed graphic cannot.
It gives a space an identity that belongs to one company rather than one landlord. It gives people a reason to photograph the room, which quietly does recruiting work every time somebody posts from the office. And it signals commitment, because a painted wall says somebody spent two weeks on this building.
The clearest example is the Omen AI headquarters in Irvine, where the exterior was treated as one composition across more than one elevation. It reads as architecture rather than signage, which is the difference between a building people recognize and a building with a sign on it.
Not every wall is worth painting. These are the ones that repay it.
The highest value wall in the building, because everyone sees it and it sets the tone before anyone speaks.
These reward scale and restraint. People sit facing the wall for eight hours, so it has to work as background rather than distraction.
The most underused surfaces in most buildings and usually the best value, because they are large, constantly seen, and nobody expects anything there.
These end up on camera in every video call, which is worth deciding deliberately rather than by accident.
The biggest statement, and what turns a building into a landmark people give directions by.
Eighteen months of plywood turned into the first marketing a new office has.

Working around you
An occupied office is not a construction site, and we do not treat it like one.
Interiors are painted evenings and weekends, in screened sections, with flooring and furniture protected and low odor products so the space is usable the next working morning. A single feature wall is a few days. A multi area program runs one to three weeks.
Two things are worth raising early on leased space. Landlords usually need to approve the design, which is far easier with a rendered preview in hand. And it is worth agreeing at the start whether the artwork is expected to come off at the end of the lease, because a mural can be painted over conventionally where a wrap has to be stripped.
The best time to paint is before the furniture arrives. Tell us the timeline.
